The DNA75 should acommodate the same resistances as the DNA60, shouldn't it?

I still haven't settled question completely. There are graphs on the data sheets for the 60 and 75 that show different response to resistance levels and it appears the 60 accomodates higher ohm coils than the 75. Hopefully the two links below are good. They are the data sheets for the 75 and 60. Scroll down a few pages and find a graph for watts vs resistance in TC mode. What do you see?

Indeed, that seems to be right. Weird.

I am just going by what OP pics of the dna60 board look like. If they are the same or similar in size, the 60 should have no problem fitting the macro dna40.
It's not exactly the same, some components on the board are taller. Some modifications are needed.

just know the DNA 60 is NOT a direct drop replacement for all DNA 40 devices, especially ones that utilize the DNA 40's on board buttons and and just enough room for the board. the DNA 60 uses completely different (taller) up/down buttons, also uses the DNA 75's fire button and the 2 inductors on the back of board are offset and a few (4mm?) taller than the single, centered inductor of the DNA 40. just a heads up.

edit...LOL seems @Carnage9270 and me are on the same wave length in this thread:lol:

Higher resistance coils take more voltage and less amps. The DNA60 (9v) is capable of more output voltage than the DNA75 (6.2v).

True some modification will be needed. The side that holds the dna40 would be the same side used for a dna60 modification, whereas, the Dna75 might be situated in a different location on that version. It would seem that the macro 40 would be the best bet for the 60 modification vs. doing it on the macro 75 box.

Ah, thanks. That's something I'd like to understand better. most TC mods cap resistance at 1.5 ohm for TC mode. What can I read to understand that better? So may be ohm's law does matter with regulated mods, not just watts law.

The maximum voltage the mod can provide, and an output amp cap if the mod has such, matter. With the 6.2v max voltage on the DNA75 75w can be achieved with a coil lower than .52Ω (60w with .64Ω or lower). With the 9v max voltage of the DNA60 the full power can be achieved with 1.35Ω or lower. Not sure about the output current caps on the two boards. From what I can see Evolv only provides information about the input current.

Where did you find a silicone skin for the Sbody DNA40 Macro? I've got one coming soon, and I'd like to buy a skin for it.

I found a clear one on Ebay and it was pretty cheap ($7.50 with free shipping). They did have other colors at the time, but I went with the clear, as these skins show the top of the mod's color and it didn't appear that any of the available pink colors matched exactly.

Now I'm off to find a skin I saw on E-Bay, the mod is an awfully bright pink, not very discreet
Did you find any silicone skin for macro dna75 or macro dna40? care to share the link? I've tried to search but to no success. I've ordered a custom leather sleeve for my macro. Will post the pic once I receive it.
