Series box mod coil build

Does anyone have any suggestions on the best coil for a 8.4v series unregulated box mod.
I've been trying to build like a .5 and nothing has worked because the coils keep falling down in the deck when I am dry firing them

Your coils are melting. According to my math that is 141 watts, which is slightly north of insane. I would suggest aiming for higher resistance, use lower gauge wire or twisted pair for extra surface area.

thanks. I think the coil I have in there now is a dual 26g twisted I don't remember the diameter but its like 14ish wraps on my 30mm tobh. I think single a coil build would be better.

Amp rating? I have an unregulated 26650 box in series. 64 amp efest. Twisted 22 around 3mm 9 wraps. Solid .17. but if the amp rating is lower I wouldn't recommend it.

Thick wires (so it doesnt melt at the high voltage)
HUGE coils (the only way you can get thick wire to .5)
Keep it simple (you dont want the coils deforming or hotspots or anything)
I have a .42 dual 23g 12 wrap and its perfect, 22g would be a really good gauge to use for high power builds, Ive tried 20g too and its a fun vape.
Either way just build big, thick coils with a lot of wraps somewhere around .5 ohms (.4 if youre ready for hot and fat hits) and youll be good

I use an unregulated 8.4v lipo box mod with 2 x 24g wrapped 12 times around 3mm jig. Atty comes out to .5 ohms. I am completely unable to get the coils proper using 8.4v. I always build on 4.2v, make sure everything glows correctly, then put it on the 8.4v
