Aspire continues its trend for carbon fiber prints to give this box mod a stylish look. Unlike typical box mods that look like rigid boxes, the Aspire ESP 30W has round corners that smooth out the edges. The size and weight are just right, with the entire mod fitting the palm of your hand like a cigarette lighter.

As you would expect, the firing button is located on the side of the device. What Aspire did differently is put the power adjustment dial on top of the mod. This prevents accidentally changing the wattage while the device is within your grip. To choose a different power output, simply turn the knob clockwise or counterclockwise to increase or reduce the wattage from 5W to 30W.

In front of the Aspire ESP is a digital screen that displays remaining battery power, atomizer resistance, wattage and voltage.

The Aspire ESP 30W is powered by a 1900mAh lithium polymer battery. It basically works with all types of sub-ohm tanks.

To turn the device on or off, click the fire button 5 times within 2 seconds.

The Aspire ESP 30W is charged through a micro USB port located at the bottom of the mod. The indicator light will glow red when the device is charging and turn to green once it is fully charged.

The Aspire ESP 30W also features a floating 510 center pin that is self-adjusting so your atomizer always fits perfectly.

OPERATION GUIDE
I was a bit surprised to find no manual with this BUT its DIRECT and easy to operate - a Great Feature but here are some operating tips:

1. Power on and off: click Fire Button 5 times within 2 seconds to lock or unlock the mod.

2. Wattage adjustment: turn the rotary knob at the top of the mod clockwise or counterclockwise to increase or decrease the output wattage from 5W to 30W for vaping needs.

3. Screen display: The Screen will display the battery power, resistance of atomizer, wattage and voltage. When the atomizer is not detected, the Screen will display "Check atomize". When the mod is in low power, the Screen will display "Check battery".

4. Pass-through: The mod is charged by micro USB cable; the light is red when charging and it will turn to green when fully charged. You can use the Mod while it’s charging!

The Aspire ESP is a fantastic small mod. I was tentative about the top mounted vv/vw adjustment knob, but it works well and is very convenient - nothing to be concerned about there. I frequently change wattage up and down to suit my taste at the time and find the knob makes it convenient and easy to adjust. The display is clear and easy to read and provides ohm, volts, and watts when the fire button is pressed.

The case is very smooth and lacks any texture - it's pretty enough, but not a great asset in my opinion - possibly a black silicone sleeve in the future? Another thing I'm not crazy about is the 'billboard' on the front to remind me that I'm using an Aspire ESP - The large lettering, for me anyway, detracts from the appearance of the mod and would be another reason to get a sleeve if they are offered. I prefer discrete labeling, but that's a personal preference and doesn't affect the overall superb operation.

Need more watts? I'm not sure why, I haven't been anywhere close to 30w using the iSub and Delta II tanks. The power and battery life provide all I've needed so adding extra to the ESP might move it out of the 'small mod' category... I like the size and weight where it's at. I've found I haven't needed more than 16w at the top end and the battery can last all day if I do a short pass-through charge somewhere along the way. It's weight is right on for popping into the shirt pocket while heading out and the size makes it a good mod for travel.

This is an impressive little mod and is a great starter into the sub ohm category at a great price.
