I vaped my AGI everyday, all day for two weeks straight on the same mesh build at 1.5ohms, and I mean chain vaped it, without a single issue. I recently broke it down into dripper mode, and the gold spring, is as gold, and perfectly shiney as it was the first day I put it together.
The AGI is one the of best purchases I have made, its just an awesome, well working device .. but I am curious to hear how your copper tubes work out because this would have to also increase conductivity, no?
I got idea from rogergendron1.

My new revision (has shorter gold spring) AGI vaped fine too but it registered a higher voltage drop than other toppers.
I just stuffed spring w/ wire which brought voltage drop to normal but rogergendron1 hot pin replace is so slick I gotta do it.
Thanks for spreading the word !!! It realy is the easyest and most solid and permanit fix for the agi there is !!!!
Right now I am running the magneto with a solid body (teloscoping tube delete) and a modded agi (solid brass center post)
Packs a huge punch with a 1ohm cotton micro ! Hardly any voltage drop !!!
