Considering the fact that neither of these mods are owned by a large number of people, I'd still like to get your guys' opinion on them.

I'm considering purchasing one or the other. Are there any features, on either, that stand out?

To be honest, I just want something with decent battery life, and more importantly, a large, protruding, clicky (or squishy) button.

Why I'm considering the sigelei 75W:
Uses Watts intead of joules.
75W - Plenty for me, considering that I seldom exceed 15W.
sigelei name - They've had a pretty good track record when it comes to APVs.
Nice look. Large button.

Why I'm considering the IPV D2:
Cheaper than the sigelei.
Button looks nice, but doesnt seem like it protrudes as much the the Sigelei's.
Device looks pretty nice as well.

I am hesistant about dropping money on any IPV. I've never owned any of their devices, so I don't exactly know how safe and reliable they are.

I am loving my Sigelei and I am only on my 2nd day. Menu is super easy to navigate and easy to change to TC. The buttons are nice, I wouldn't call them clicky but they take a firm press and protrude just enough and are big enough to find easily by touch. Buttons are almost flush to the silicone sleeve. Battery life when vaping at 20 watts was 12 plus hours yesterday, 10 plus the day before on a different battery, I purchased 2 new Samsung 25R. I noticed no reduction in power as the battery drained. I still had the same vape from start to finish. A sleek looking device that is well built and easy to use. I'm planning on getting another one for back-up

Are you finding the TC pretty accurate? And are your side panels ratting at all how are the magnets on them

I haven't tried the TC yet, I am going to have to order some wire or pre-built Ni 200 coils for the Subtank. I have 1 side panel that moves slightly maybe 1/32nd of an inch. One of the magnets on that side is set just a touch lower than the other one. I use the silicone sleeve so I don't hardly notice it and even without the sleeve there was no rattle just the side moving ever so slightly. When I have had it longer and it gets some wear on it I may pry the one magnet out and reset it, but for now it's not bothering me. Good strong magnets on these side panels anyway.

Thanks gotfish! Im about to order the Sigelei 75W. P4Y's track record hasn't quite proven itself.
You will love it. I don't even think my side door moves as much as 1/32nd of an inch, it really just barely slides a hair. Screen is real easy to use. I am going to order 1 for my brother even though he is new to vaping, it will be easy for him to use and I want another one for myself. It pairs up good with the Subtank Mini. I should get my Triton Tank in Vape mail tomorrow

I hope so. I've heard Sigelei's APVs are top notch, especially for the price. I love my rDNA 40, but could always use a backup device.

Hi there!

A newbie here...
I'm currently facing the same choice as you did, GrandSam, so I was wondering, did you end up buying that Sigelei 75W and if you did, what can you say about it after a month of usage? Any regrets?
If someone has chosen IPV D2 over the Sig, I'd like to hear their story as well!
Thanks!

I have both and each has pros and cons. The Sigelei is a nice unit. Solid with a nice screen. One of my doors rattles, as does the fire button. Otherwise works well. The D2 is much smaller, well built, has a functional Ti mode that is great since I only use Ti now, and uses a yihi chip which are excllent! Slight downside is the lack of step-down in VW mode but doesnt matter to me as I only use it in TC mode. If I had to choose, I would go for the D2

I've got the ipvd2 if you look on many sites you will see that people in there hundreds have joined the preorder system for the ipvd2 but only tens joined in for the sigelei. Most experienced vapers no the yihi chip in the ipv is tried and tested and it seems it's only people that don't actually own a P4U device that moan about them because of one mistake with the charge board in the ipv4 which was rectified with ipv4s and if you already had an ipv4 you could update the firmware for free. Look at the reviews of people who own one and don't listen to the opinions of people that probably haven't even used one. For 30 quid and a yihi chip and good build quality and a rubber case with vw ti and ni you really can't go wrong.

Thanks for the info!
Strange, for some reason I thought Sig is smaller... perhaps I was confusing D2 with some other IPV. :)
Any particular tank recommendations for either of the mods? In another post, I was told that Delta 2 with the rebuildable deck is a solid option. I'm somewhat hesitant since I'm on budget and would prefer something similar with RBA included (Subtank Mini, for example).

@itskohler
Thanks, that makes it 3 votes (TheotherSteveS, you, mod price) for D2 and no votes for Sig... :)

What battery life can be expected from D2? I'm just trying to get into vaping, so I can't really say what Ws I plan to run or what ohms my tank is... perhaps you could just let me know how long it lasts the way you use it?
Thanks!

either will work well with any tank. I will always recommend the subtank mini. I have two and two nanos. The new RBA decks are very good. You could also check out the Aspire Triton although experiences with the RBA deck for that (which is an additional purchase) are mixed at the moment. I think the premade coils are very good!

So, the charging board issue is NOT juice related at all. It has to do with the proximity of the + 510 wire and the charging board itself. The 2 will come into contact and the charging board will essentially fry itself. My issue was the actual chip in the mod itself. Take a peak here.
Another IPV4 failure. Pics and story inside. : electronic_cigarette
