Smok Al85 burning holes in batteries

I've noticed a lot of heat generated at the threading on the battery cap if it isn't screwed down all the way. It went away after I tightened the cap down further but if left unremedied, I could see this possibly melting holes in the wrap like that.

Try cleaning the battery cap threads and the mod threads with alcohol.

Oh man this ain't good, don't use damaged batteries btw. Even the smallest dent & I rewrap them. Takes five minutes & it isn't expensive. I've never known this happen though! I have the bigger brother the alien 220 & it's my most used mod.

Damaged batteries are a disaster waiting to burn your house down, or worse.
