Yea, it just seems crazy that a winner wouldn't be notified. Some folks are just now getting on and say they missed 200 pages. How would they ever know? A list on page 1 would be an easy way to check in.

My son likes to do those expensive 10 course dinners....I would be so full after the 1st 2 courses that I would have to get a doggy bag but I would love to do it just for the experience ....have a little wine and enjoy the nite .....oops make that a lot of wine when I saw the bill!! I'm glad you and your wife enjoyed it...sounds like a very special thing to do!!But the $200 food is soooooooo good.
I took my wife out to a local restaurant (for her birthday) where my brother was the sous chef, and man oh man what it the most epic dinner I have ever had, ever. It was a 8 course meal. Almost $300 a person. Totally worth it...
I always thought it was a joke, until I tried it.... But definitely not something I would do every day.... Or year.... Or century....

So sorry. I understand your pain.
They are like family aren't they? My precious Jack Russell died suddenly, within a week, of cancer that we never knew he had. He was was so healthy until then... came out of no where. He was 14 years old and he was my best friend in all the world. That was two years ago this Sept. and I still haven't gotten over it. Sweet memories have slowly taken over sad thoughts though I still break down from time to time.
I would do it if it was free! In fact I DID do it when it was free (I used to work as admin in a 5 star restaurant). But I could never see myself spending that kind of money on one meal. I's too po!But the $200 food is soooooooo good.

Closest I've come to that was an all inclusive 10 day stay in Jamaica. Total cost including airfare was less than $3k for wife and I. The food was amazing but the portions were small being all inclusive of course. I was kindly reminded rather discretely that the trip WAS all inclusive and it was acceptable to order two of everything. I have to say, I'm not sure how those resorts make any money.
