My son is a Marine and vapes and knows quite a few other Marines that vape. I've gotten the impression that there are enough of them that if the regs go through, there will be lots of angry Marines. Not just low ranking Marines either.

I live right near Oceanside, CA which is right next to Camp Pendleton.
There are a lot of vape shops here, and a LOT of marines that are vaping.

Air Force has already all but banned vaping except in designated smoking areas. The Navy is mulling a ban as well for safety reasons. Army doesn't have a hard set rule via regulations, so it's hit and miss by installation (some treat e-cigarettes the same as regular tobacco).

So claiming vets "across the nation" are complaining is a bit of a misnomer, which, considering the source doesn't surprise me in the least. And while there's probably a kernel of truth in the article, the slant is just as bad as it is on other sites like HuffPo, etc.

If the FDA rejects these new products the company will sell them in other countries. The vape manufacturers will do the same. In the mean time a vape shop opened nearby after 8/8. The shops I visit are not talking to their customers about the FDA.
