. Usually everybody wants to shield kids from everything possible.
People have been trying to shield kids from too much for too long now.
It's exactly what's wrong with the world, and more and more this country as well.

But I digress...

What I've noticed, when you try to keep "kids" ignorant of something in the hopes that they won't do it, they tend to do it anyway, just with less information and understanding.

Trying to protect us from ourselves is a growing trend worldwide.
I won't comment further on that though, as it is a topic for the Outside.

As for me, I don't observe any rules when it comes to food dropped on the ground.
I'll eat a slice of pizza if it's been on the ground for 2 days.

And I believe in accumulating germs rather than avoiding them.
I don't wash my hands, I lick them.

Even though the lack of evidence of the efficacy of plain packaging laws would also apply to advertising that is allegedly targeted towards youth?

While there is no evidence Australia's plain packaging law reduced cigarette consumption or prevalence, youth smoking declined significantly after the 1998 MSA was imposed.
