Too funny, I just posted about this in another thread tonight, but didn't see this. Congrats on finding one of my all-time favorites, and one of the few
tobacco flavors I actually like.
I found that "
mount baker's Coumarin Pipe" tobacco to be really similar...in fact, I might even prefer it since it's not as thick and messy. Worth checking out since it's super cheap by comparison. Just to save some money, I've almost completely switched over to it.
For more context, i'm not sure if it has the custard flavor as Eclipse has, but somehow since it's sweet, I stopped being able to tell the difference; especially after the Coumarin steeps awhile. But this could just be me, and my tongue going numb. And the only thing I don't like about Eclipse is how damn thick it is- my drip tips are always getting a bit nasty. So I find this to be better. And it's dirt cheap, check it out. I can't imagine that you won't at least enjoy it.
Also, you might want to check out: "VCT from Ripe Vines". (more expensive) Where Coumarin Pipe is a bit more tobacco than Eclipse, this one is a bit more of a dessert/custard flavor on the heavier end of the spectrum, but still similar. I'm betting that if you mixed the 2 flavors, you would probably end up with something close to Eclipse actually. These 2 are the closest I found in the same search.
An honorable mention for a 3rd might be "Niquid's DayBreak"- more of a tobacco/cookie flavor. I only used a couple
tanks of it, but it's solid. Just in case you want to try a 3rd. But those other 2 are your best bet.
