they are different enough to not be clones, or you could say cc is a tmod clone and a tmod is a clone of earlier
but coppervape used pictures of CCs, not coppervapes in their early marketing
Sleazy but true!! They're not the only ones though. Every atty rip off you see on Chinese sites when they first hit are the original mfg pics as well... Its what the Chinese do best!!

That would be pretty Shifty. If there were no Actual Photo's of the Actual CopperVape. But that Isn't what Happened.
Not defending Anyone who using another product Image to represent their Different Product.
Just say'n that there were Plenty of Images of what the actual CopperVape looked like.

The photo you posted (which originally only CC photos were available IIRC) represent a subset of misrepresentation that's unacceptable.
Regardless if actual product representations were available or not.
Same thing happened with the REO Grand clone.
Though really the only noteworthy deceit there was the visible build and finish quality.
Whereas had my Zenith II clone nic'd OG pics, no harm, no foul.
The clone was visually identical and actually higher build quality in this case.

I'm not sure if I was the 1st Person on the ECF to get a CopperVape, but if I wasn't, I know I was one the Very 1st.
I watched the Entire pre-sale roll out. And before CopperVape shipped anything, there was the Video Review that Todd did.
Like I said, not Condoning using someone else's Image. I'm not. But there was talk that CV originally planned on doing a 100% 1-to-1 Clone. That is why there was an Image that looked like the OEM Mod. But decided to go with their Design that the CV was released as.

I didn't follow the history. I wasn't interested. Already had a legit, custom CC.
BUT!
I do remember seeing an actual CV posted my first time and thinking "THAT looks nothing like the photos aside from shape".
Of course I didn't have to second guess my memory.
I had the actual product pictured on my desk.
What I don't recall... is their own product photos being there originally.

And something I am sure if they had to do again, they would have Thought it thru more Clearly.If CV had done a 1-to-1 Clone, don't think there would have been All the Drama that has surround all this. Because New Clones are listed Everyday on FT or 3Fvape. No Front Page News there.
But they Didn't. They released a Design that Differed enough that Few could call it a Clone.
But the Photo thing Was what it Was.
Someone on another sent cv thst pic with a request for a clone. Cv followed it up. Same guy has sent CCV and 26650 pics with request now, and has been told they are in development

I contacted CV asking if they could do a Single 20700 version.
A Single 20700 version would be almost the Same Size as the original. And a 20700 could yield Good Amp Draw with Good mAh.
