I keep reading about mods getting too hot while charging but I'm having the opposite experience. When my mods get to full charge and I don't notice for awhile, I find them to be quite chilly when I finally get to them. Not frosty or anything but still very cold to the touch. I've noticed it will all my mods (istick30 & 50 and MVP 2.0) so it's not some one-off issue or defective battery. Could there be some kind of Peltier effect going on? Am I crazy? Has anyone else noticed this?

Can't say yay or nay on a Peltier effect. However all my mods, even my mechs, if I leave them laying and alone for an hour or so, they are cool to the touch, as in ambient room temperature.
Once they stop charging, they come back down to room temp. Even if left on the charger. It is only when they are charging that they get warm. Mine get warm, not hot. IMR AW 18650 batteries.

OP- yes, I just now experienced that. once I started using it again it is nowhere near as cold. Istick30
Yes, they just go back down to room temperature. Metal is a heat conductor rather than an insulator. That's why metal may feel colder (or hotter) than something like cardboard or a towel that are also at room temperature.
