subtank mini ohm rising and stop firing

I am using a subox mini... using 24awg kanthal wire, 5 rounds... it was 0.5ohm on the mod...
when i put it first in my rba and fire up(at17w), it glows red as per normal...
but however the second time, it would not fire up, i check the ohm it started to rise beyond 0.5 and keep rising until 1.3ohm... then my mod on the ohm meter it will blink and stop firing...

i have to wait for it to cool down before i can fire again...

Check for a loose connection or the coil may just be bad.

I had similar issues with my sub tanks, in one I found that the positive post on the RBA was loose, I tightened it and that solved it. In Another instance, I found my subtank had to be tightened (pretty tight) onto the mod (cool fire 4) in order to read the resistance correctly.

Or the tank could be TOO tightly screwed into the battery. The tank's 510 pin isn't spring loaded and the positive post doesn't protrude very far out of the negative sheath. Might be shorting out.

tighten the screws on the rba head posts.

when you put in a new coil, and fire it up, the heat causes expansion of the metal and the screws need tightening

Try one of the OCC coils and see if it does the same thing, It started doing that for me and it turned out my battery post in my mod was messed and I had to pry it out a bit.
