It's darker in real life, so I'm done dyeing it.
As I suspected, the liner for the banana basket didn't mottle much. It took the color.
I'm sure it's a poly blend, therefore it won't go in the oven...not sure the oven did much anyway.
I didn't "baste" the first one because I was good with the color as is.
Going to try my evenweave next. The one for the ABC Sampler. I have two lengths, they're already a tea dyed color, purchased that way, but no mottling. Then I can see which I want to use.
Kinda fun.
I agree, good physically and mentally for me too. When I'm home all the time, I have no motivation.Yes I have Friday off but it never feels like a long weekend

Well, my second piece didn't mottle at all. Just turned out a little darker overall.
It was a different fabric, and was dyed/tea stained color. No mottling to begin with.
Not sure but possibly had been finished to be colorfast, which would explain the fabric not wanting to take more dye/stain.

I'm sure this will be trial and error. The color is fine though, so no harm done.

The hide starts out white/grey,I put it in a big pot full of hot tea and left it over night over 20years ago

My DH loves his TV too. He had to watch quite a bit before he left to free up space so he could record the race and other stuff this weekend while he was gone.
