Looking forward to some new pics! :D
How's this?

That square wire is pretty great once I started to figure out how to use it. It's a 26g FSA 4x .4x.1mm ribbon with a .2x.2mm square alien. I gotta do some more wraps, interlockings, stitched, etc. I'm really liking this wire

Almost there. I'm a bit annoyed with myself on this build. I actually had enough wire with tight close wraps to make two coils. I wrapped it on a 3mm five times and was quite happy with it. I decided to rewrap it on a 2.5 mm screw driver to get 6 wraps and I ended up spreading the spacing to far. The sections were tight and continuous. Anyrate, 27 gauge Ka, with 38 ni 80 wraps. Ohms out to about .15. Shooting for six wraps on a 3mm next time. Should get me .16-.18 I like.

Square wire is interesting. Opens a lot of doors. How does it taste vs round and ribbon?
Idk how it is yet, but the insides are round frames and ribbon cores. So it's basically what I'd normally make except with a square wrap. I need to figure out which deck to put these on. They definitely won't fit in my Petri unless I drill my posts, and I don't think I could get them to fit in my Kennedy 24 decks center posts.

if you want to get that wire to work on the ken then you can go Sleeper style with your wire, one continuous length will work.

The wire looks good :D good idea there Tom ;)

I would but I already cut out the coils :( . I do have a length left over that I got about 9 wraps out of on a 3mm though, I could unravel some of them and try sleeper it
@Mrez those aliens are lookin great bro, keep up the practice and you'll be able to get able to get it down. Different wrap gauges act differently, so don't beat yourself up over 38g alien wraps, they're not all that easy. 40g aliens kick my *** all the time.

These barely can be considered coils, but I've been playing with different 4 loop braid methods with 30 guage K1. Just messing around on my lunchbreak at work so I didn't have access to a torch, etc to stretch/tighten the loops and pliers to straighten as I wrapped.

I'm liking the offset braid. I'll have to make a longer braid and see how it works out.

That second braid looks really nice. I wonder how they would vape if they were hammered slightly a little flatter?

Fleshing out this even number of loops stuff. This is a 6 loop offset from both sides of the braid and a little coil of it.

You can see on the left side of this pic there is actually a little channel in the braid on this side. I squeezed this flat for the coil, but if you have the skill you could wrap with the channel facing out. May hold more juice.

Next time I'm wearing gloves. I've got blisters on the sides of my middle fingers from this 30 gauge.
