Something tiny tonight. T&F (twisted and fused) clapton. 2x twisted 36g N80 cores wrapped in 40g N80. Coiled around a 2.4mm screwdriver and measures 1.6 ohms. A Canadian nickel is pretty much the same as an American btw. Couldn't use a penny as we got rid of them lol.

So I haven't been very happy with the way my pictures have been coming out lately, so I decided to make a cheap little home made lightbox. Do you guys use them? Here's a couple pics, not much to look at but it works.

And here's how the pics came out

What do you all think? Don't mind the flash light on the right side I have to buy another lamp lol.
Some flashlights are just as good as lamps haha. Main flashlight I use is a Mag-Lite XL50 LED flashlight. When I take the cap off, it acts as a floodlight & is rated at something like 300 lumens. Another light I use is a 10w spotlight, I'll take off the focus/spot ring & it's just stupid bright & really portable

I use the DIY light box as well. Very cool to get some nice shots. Might have to put it back up again.
I've not made a light box, but a black box. I use it mainly for B&W shots, with a single lamp, a blue CFL bulb. It gives great picture & contrast for black and white shots like this old Tsuka build I have in one of my Kennedy 24's.

Yea I use a black background also. You remember back a few months ago when I showed you mines on the old thread?

But yours looks nice.

Hey CMB's ,
Its been a long :censored: weekend & I've never been so happy to see a Monday, until I woke up this morning & realized....Damn, its frikk'in Monday.. AnyHoo, I got my "So Horny" RDA last Friday & I'm finally getting around to soaking it & since I'm gonna have the house to myself, for the next few days...
I can build & run my drill, all night if it so pleases me..:D I am on a quest, to find the perfect, high powered, setup... I was thinking about the Hammer of God V2 clone & an Authentic VCMT RTA, or maybe a really good 30mm RDA, but there's so many.. I'd love an affordable authentic under $50, but it seems everything has some sort of gimmick or sumtin going on with it... The Coo TS rda, the Mason RDA, the EX1, Wisemec's rda's & etc.. I just want a good atty, with minimal voltage drop, that can handle super sub ohms, if necessary... sigh:blush: Nearly 7yrs vaping & I'm ready for the next level. I'm pretty sure I'm on the right path with Series mods, but is bigger dripping atomizers really the answer ?? Or should I be looking at a 30mm RTA ? I know I'm hooked on Series mods & I hope to see more, in the near future. That's a given... Otherwise, I might have to look into building my own Series 26650 mod... :)But let's hope it doesn't come to that...lol But at any rate, I'm all ears on any suggestions for a really good setup... As far as I can find via the internet, the HOG V2 is about as powerful as I can get, for an affordable mech mod... But as far as atties go... I'm stumped... Maybe I should just Build my Ohmega RDA that's been sitting in its box, despite me not having anything for it to look good on...:(I might have a great RDA sitting right under my nose & not know it.. But I'm still open to suggestions.... Hit me Up & Vape Happy !! Let me go watch some wire building vids...:thumb:

Why keep buying and chasing something, you trying to blow the biggest cloud? What kind of vape do you want? What type of vapor are you now?

Every post I read I'm getting confused. You can take the time to learn and build coils on the setups you have. How low are you trying to build to? What is your juice ratio?

I have plenty of Drippers and tanks and most was just on my Sig 100W all last year. I learned by building different coils and variety of ohms to get what I was trying to achieve.

I can't take the deep sub ohm as much right now and now I'm back to tootling poofing. My coils are around 1.2-2.0 ohms but I can always switch back and forth.

Stop buying so many things & just pick up ONE Goon atty lol. It's $60/$65 & can handle any build. There's another atty made by Cthulhu mod's I saw the other day, don't quite know what it's called but it has a similar deck set up as the goon.
For now, framples. 30g/6ply .3x.1mm/38g wrap para 24g all N80. 6/5 wraps on a 3mm & it still ohms out at .08 post coloring. The Goon is the most conductive atty I have seen.

And about voltage drop, you're thinking mods. If you want the least voltage drop from a mod, Legendary switch SOISZ all the way combined with an atty that has a copper deck or gold plated deck. The Subzero mod has silver plated contacts on top and bottom & is just thick *** C140 copper.
The legendary switch version in copper comes in at only $135 compared to the ceracoated versions at like $150&up (shorty switch model included in price).

Honestly out of all the rdas I have the three that get the most use are the dot mod petri v2, the TM squared, and the goon. But out of those I think the goon is the best, it's very versatile and the airflow is awesome. Also it should hold up to super sub ohming, it has for me on some of those bigger builds anyway.

Edit: @Tom Forde hey did you ever post any tips in here for doing the tsuka coil? I try looking back a few pages but couldn't find anything. I gave it a whirl last night, but no luck. Just wondering how you do it..

I think you are thinking of the shuriken. Similar deck to the goon but one screw clamp instead of two. I think its got 2+ mm on either side of the screw as well.

I'll post some tips later today, just tell me what sizes of ribbon you have.
Top 3 atties I use are my Petri (v1 & v2 doesn't matter, a petri is a petri), Goon & one of my Kennedy 24's. All have their pro's and cons, but mostly pro's.
