Long time no see everyone. Just dropping in to say the builds are looking amazing as always. Sadly, my build days are behind me for the time being. It's been a rough month between selling the house, starting the divorce process, and upending my life. I've been lurking, and the photo's are cheering me up. A few more months, I should be in a situation more conducive to building/hobby again, but for the time being I'm SOL and hoping my fused coils last for a while. Great building guys, keep the pictures coming.
Life is a long run and sometimes you need to take a break.
Let things go and fade like the smoke of your vape.
Keep the good and sweet on your tongue and in your heart.
Cheers up, bro!

Nah, you know me. I'm stubborn. Gotta DIY. That said, send me a line if the NJ vapors are getting together somewhere. Since my soon to be ex wife is loosing 200 lbs (me), I find my calendar is much more open then I'm comfortable with.

Really guys? Nobody's building anything new?

More laziness in the Kennedy 24. Focus stacked. I'm getting better at this, a steady tripod really helps a ton.

Also a little something I'm trying to figure out how to fit into my goon. No way it'll fit as a regular coil, it wraps up too chubky, stovetop would kill the design. I have to figure out how to fit this thing in Ophion style. It's a hollow core double bonded tsuka. 22g frames but you can see straight through the middle.

[QUOTE
I only really get time to build one night a week recently. That being said tonight should be build night.
For me it's more about time it takes in post with pics. I have a new build in my goon & it's nothing special but I have a ton of editing to do because of my current lighting situations.

This whole macro thing takes some time & there's definitely a learning curve that comes along with it. Gotta pick up some 5500k & up led bulbs! Should help out with the end color of the shots.

Awesome tsuka @Tom Forde . I've been looking for a dslr, all my pictures are taken with my galaxy s7 edge and edited with the stock phone tools lol. At first I was ok with the quality, but with thinner gauge wire and more intricate builds I need a better camera. There not cheap though, so trying to convince my girlfriend I need it to take pictures of "Shiney metal" (as she puts it) is hard lol

Check out the Carl Zeiss optic kit for mobile phones. Could be a $100~ solution til you get a DSLR. And check out the Sony Alpha (α) series. The α5100 is good, α6000 is perfect, and if you're considering the α6300, you might as well go full frame and get an A7 lol.
And btw - Adobe Lightroom Mobile is free for Android haha. It's what I used on a droid turbo 2 I found & hacked open.... :D

Was just able to pick up a Goon from the manager at a local shop because he didn't like building on it. While there I put this on it and watched his jaw hit the floor as I put the cap on it, put it on my Sigelei 150W, hit the button and chucked a big flavorful cloud before heading out the door. To be fair, we had discussed it a few days prior, and had made the wire before heading in. Was my first try at a Framed Staple and like how it came out. 8x.4mmx.1mm core, 28g frames, wrapped in 36g, all KA-1. 3mm ID. 0.15 ohms.

Ah I haven't been around for a minute. @EvlSmrk - nice framed staple! Great work on the coloring too.

28/8ply .3/44g framed staple.
Also. Triple double. Gonna fuse these up today, just don't know with what yet. 44g, 46g, alternating 44&46g, double 46g...the possibilities are too many lol.

One side has 28/6x.3/38g staggers, the other is 28/4x .3/36g staggers. 40g half fuses on both.

30g K1 side braidiator over twisted 26g ss316l. Braid anchors got a little sloppy when I coiled it. 2.4mm ID, 0.27 ohms. FYI the Merlin really does well with braids; rich flavor! I need to get a bigger form for coiling though. I feel it would be even better with a 4, or 5 mm ID to take up more chamber space.
