Interlocks have me baffled dude. Hat's off for even trying.
Not only do I not know the process but my next goal is staggering.

Some intelocks look wonderful but most that I see look like coil confetti. It gets gaudy fast.

Edit: I'm trying to unwrap a staple. Not fun.
I used 36g on it and too many wraps. The wrap is breaking.
I think I'll have to make one with 34g.
Maybe if I clapton and inch at a time, cut the wrap and start again it'll work? That way the legs are wrapped and I don't have to start at the very end.

I tried leaving the legs wrapped and cutting the wrap with a razor blade. Nope.
Hell 32 might work for this.
When my ribbon gets here I'll try again.
I don't think I'll be doing a build for a few days. Just practicing staggering.
I'm really happy with my current builds and I don't have any more tanks....I should get more.

Its pretty much the same as when you alien, the only difference is you parallel wrap two wires onto your main wire before you decore. I'm sure you'll also have this nailed soon enough

Oh, if that's all it is I'm sure Tom can get it...he must have a pretty steady hand to even get the 40g alien. Just trying the 36 my hand was shaking all over. I'm a naturally jittery person. My leg/foot never stops tapping.

So i kind of smh when I see ppl talk about these wild mods with all this wire and I wonder what's the point? I mean they look REALLY cool but do they actually perform any better? I made up some stovetop coils that I THOUGH looked like they were blowing away my others but when I put the top on and vaped it, it was no better... same to not as good, gets too hot too fast and doesn't wick well.. modified and have it better but it's not my go-to coil. My go-to coil looks like your second picture above. .22 ohm, clouds for days, good flavor, quick ramp, quick cool.. no need for anything fancier. I'll keep trying but I doubt that eccentricity will beat out simplicity EVAR.

By the way, folks.. I hope no one took affront to the above comment.. I think I was a little overwhelmed by all this porn and after my own few attempts at making braided wire and twisted wire and all that, without seeing any real improvement, I kind of gave up on the 'getting fancy' idea. I think the appropriate term for the two coils I got that I like so much is 'stepped' How about this.. I'll post pics of all the RDA's and the coils on them that I have and you all can tell me..
Actually, I won't.. that would be like 7 photos and the coils don't show up so good in my pics... I did find out the names of the coils I've found so effective and I'll just relay them here.. I got them at the vape shop here in town, pre=made out of this wheel of assorted coils. The ones I've had best luck with are the alien claptons, fused claptons, hive and Tiger (tiger is what I was calling cut Kanthal.. my eyes suck so without glasses, they look completely different to me. I'm pretty sure it's actually tiger. I'm ordering a few others because I want to try them and see how they go, but I'm done trying to make complex coils.. I'd rather buy the wire and just wrap 'em round. IN my RDA's I have one twisted fused, one fused clapton, one alien clapton or tank tread, one tiger, one hive and two flat twisted and I like them all.

I still think pics should be posted no matter the quality. I didn't always use my α6000, in fact, I started out with a $3.46 macro phone camera clip from amazon.

My favorite build although I go blind doing it haha. Half double.

I know what you mean by getting the shakes and the leg taps. It happens to me sometimes when I'm working on a build. Quick remedy to it is to work on the floor. Yes, on the floor haha. Otherwise, control your breathing & wait it out until you can get your body under control. I know it can be very hard at times (I'm not saying this to be condescending, it happens to me as well if I am nervously doing something).

Omfg dude...it made me laugh how good that looks. I even zoomed in looking for booboos. I can't even do 36g with out messing it up some where.

Ray on VU said he doesn't stretch his decore much....isn't that what you said too? Maybe that's my problem.

And on the half double. That's just 2 half framed staples fused right?

I got the spacing down last night. Using a dripper for a fishing weight.
No matter how hard I overlapped the end it still moved around when manipulated.

I ran a screw through the loop on my first swivel in the chain. Then drove the screw into my desk. I could drive it into the floor.
If I'm that shakey I usually just stop and breathe. It's amazing how stressful this can be.

Use some cogs for rc cars or just buy a paper corrugater.

Yep, thats exactly what i've been doing, i have a dual 22g 5wrap of 22g kanthal on 3mm id in my limitless showing 0.17ohms and 55.5w

I don't stretch my decore that much, maybe an 18" decore I stretch to arms length (for me is about 76" - I have lanky arms for someone who's 5'8" lol) and let the decore wrap itself with tension.

If you're looking for flaws you won't find any on that build

Edit: and yes, criss cross apple sauce lmao. Whenever my sister has a break from college she stays with me since she goes to Rutgers and my place in NJ is only 20 minutes away, so whenever she comes for a month or a summer she takes my building space and I get shafted into building on the floor haha

This is my spin on the loop spacing method. I tried weights but I'm too close to the table. Tried hanging it off the side of the table and it got hung.

I was going to tell you to use helium balloons and then i had light bulb moment, i know you're all sorted now but i suppose if one was stuck for space they could run a length of dowel above the build area with either a loop or a weight hanging over it.

Hey, I hadn't thought about that. I don't see why I couldn't have the spools above me instead of behind me.

I think the loop method works great this way. When I used a weight it was easy to go too fast and start wrapping up the loop.
I just have to get the stagering part down. It's not too hard, I just can't see what I'm doing as it goes on there.
It would be easier at 34g but I used alot of it already.
