You folks are nuts with these coil builds you do...lol. I love them. Some of them are actually beautiful to look at, and I stop by here often just to see your newest creations. Thanks for all the great pics.
Hey guys, so I know it's been a while since I've posted here but I'm back!
I got a nice start to my building here and want to continue that trend of posting up some awesome builds as well as helping out aspiring builders by any means necessary as I've tried to do in the past.
So to kick things off, here are some of my latest builds

I made some aliens for a co-worker that I'm helping get into all diy (coils juice ECT)
This dang SS is so springy, the wraps don't wanna stay together. They go together after dry firing just fine but they just don't wanna mate up before. Anyway here is a crappy alien pic. I need to make a light box for night pics. It is 3 28g cores 36g alien skin, all SS

I wrap them as tight as I can together right now. Any tips to get them to stay together? I think the alien part it okish could use some more work but that comes with experience I have only done regular aliens like twice.
By comparison Im a total noob with coils and I know nothing about SS, I still use kanthal, but Im just wondering if annealing the coil before loading works with those types of builds or if you have to load them first?
Squeeze them together while you crank down the screws. If there's still a gap just squeeze them while you color them.
Like I said earlier they go together just fine after the dry firing. It's just after wrapping them they pull apart. They are as tight as can be while wrapping. I will try to crank them a bit while tightening down again in the goon. I'm thinking its just the little twists in the cores from claptoning them with the decore. I will also try a couple really nice swivels as well as buying a real one. In the end I'm just looking to make a nice looking coil pre install.
SS is just springy. Especially 28g. Mine do the same thing if I do more than 5 or 6 wraps.
That's what I thought just wondering if I was dumb and just missing something. Thanks guys.
Wait a minute are you talking about the wraps on the cores coming misaligned? Or the actual coil going out of shape? Cause if it's the latter, cut longer leads and clamp down hard so you have some room for adjustments. SS isn't springy link nich or kanthal, it's softer, so it bends easier.
