She's severely undermining herself by saying it's not a health risk in the first frame and then mentioning it being less harmful than cigarettes.

It's hopeful, though.

Not really. While the terms "not a risk" and "less harmful" are not exactly synonymous, they are inclusive. "Less harmful" includes no risk, and "not a risk" is definitely less harmful than any harm.

She is the graphic designer for the notblowingsmoke.org campaign so it's her and others working together to create these videos. I'm thinking they are putting lots of careful thought into these videos/ads and the wording for them. With all the lies and propaganda notblowingsmoke is seeking to expose I can't see them doing or saying anything that would cause them to then be accused of doing the same. I'm sure they are being careful. And as far as I am aware vaping cannot, at this time, be considered a health risk because actual health risks haven't been observed/reported by doctors/patients but they can truthfully say vaping is less harmful because that has been shown to be true via studies.

I completely agree with everything you said, except the first sentence. She works at Apollo eCigs in marketing and graphic design, and made the these videos completely on her own after being inspired by the NOTBlowingSmoke website. All of the content, video design and scripting was done by her alone, by researching freely available public data, like the MSA. Only recently has she met and has been working with the NOTBlowingSmoke people. I learned all of this from a live webcast last night, which is now on Youtube, if you are interested in watching it. It's kinda long, but if you skip to ~half way through, she gets introduced for the first time, anywhere. Until last night, her name had been kept a secret and no one knew who did the videos. But back to the earlier comment, yes, she may have made a slight misstatement. This is nothing compared to the outright lies, deception and corrupt media manipulation that ANTZ has been doing for the last 20 years. I for one, will forgive her for this slight misstatement.

Well, I'm really proud and amazed with her efforts. I may not agree with everything she says, but my God, she is doing something - and I believe/hope making a difference. It is fabulous when you can apply your talents to something that is truly important to you. Big cheers lovey and please keep on doing.

If we were required to agree with everyone in the vaping community before doing anything...
Well, you know where I'm going with this...

I just love that this is happening.
And I applaud the effort, without question.

What ever happened to that We Are Vapers documentary?
Just asking nobody in particular.
:grr:

What I'm most impressed with is that she did all of the production work herself. The research of the MSA (which is no small task), that states are selling bonds against receiving MSA money, writing the script, doing all of the video effects, editing the video, the music and the narration. Her voice is so perfect for this video. She did admit in the webcast video that her fiancée did help her with some of the audio, but it was her gig, start to finish. Now all I need is to get my hands on one of those Truth About Vaping t-shirts. :2cool:

I'm more partial to the follow the money ad from not blowing smoke, I find people seem to get it when I explain that aspect about the anti-vape propaganda. When you explain who stands to lose money and how they are interconnected you can see the wheels turning in their heads and it makes more sense than trying to explain how biased most of these "studies" are. Regardless, I'm glad she is putting it out there, my thanks.

And this should be the highlight of the thread. She Is Doing Something. Not talking about doing something. Doing something.

It takes a step that starts the walk. Now there is a commercial that will be airing locally in Pennsylvania. It is possible that it could start spreading elsewhere.

Bravo to Danielle!

I'm delighted this will be aired on tv, but... only in PA.

Oh, we desperately need this in California. The California DPH still spews their hate commercials. Of course, they have all those tax dollars to play theirs during PRIME TIME. We'd need to do the same thing, but I think that cost (especially in a big market like Los Angeles) would be quite high, unfortunately.

Bravo to Danielle!

If each and every one of us took the energy derived from our frustration/anger/disgust about the way smokers and vapers have been treated and sent just one email (copied to every person in their local state or provincial legislature) professionally and politely stating facts - we could change the world. With nods to Nike, Just Do It!
