Just one last picture wich one would look better the white teak burl or this redwood lace burl.
Just let me know since I am undecided.

Ordered the SX350 chip late last night and I have already received the shipping notice email from Varitube.
Thanks for the very fast processing and shipment of my order.

This will my the first box mod build and I am sure I will be asking for some help and guidance from fellow forum members. This mod will be a simple Hammond box build with two 18650 batteries. It should give me the power and the battery capacity I am looking for.

Portertown: As Onedesign1 said, a Fuse is NOT a absolute necessity. I have NEVER used one in a box mod. BUT, I have used them in Tube type Mech. Mods, just for that LITTLE bit of safety, or "Illusion" of safety. I forgot the name of the fuse, but there is one made called something like Saf T Fuse, or Vape Safe, or something like that. It looks tobe the size of a battery exactly, about 18mm. And, It has a set blow point. It is NON reuseable. It pops, you buy a new one. I've NEVER popped one, And, that is even on my Hades 26650 battery Mod by Footoon. With the Sony Big Amp battery. Using a .3 ohm partially home made atty. Dual coil. STill didn't blow. But, on a short, they WILL BLOW. I've seen it on others. A Sigelei Mod. shorted internally, and the fuse Popped. It pops, u use one of the extras you bought when you bought the original (hint). Does NOT hurt to put a fuse in a box mod, as long as you realize that a poorly made fuse holder, will have SOME voltage drop. (VERY little), so don't buy CHEAP. I have to run several hundred Metre runs of what is called "Hard Line" antenna cable, to go from radio/amplifier to Antenna, WAY up on Tower, way away from house. THAT much cable, DOES insert some NOTICeable impedance/resistance. And, must be taken into account. IOW, everything you put between a source and a load, inserts SOME small amount of resistance, It all adds up.
I've given you reasons to USE a fuse, and NOT to use it, now, as in all things, it's UP to YOU!

Thanks for the info. Now I just have to decide which way to go. Fuse or Fuseless.

Always research and build the safest way. I'm not in a position to understand your complete design. The chip has built in safety measures such as short circuit, reverse polarity, low resistance etc. As is you do not necessarily need fuses....but extra is never a bad thing. I'm sure there's a experienced person or 2 who will chime in.

Thanks for the info. Ordered the chip last night and already have shipping info email from you. Very fast service for sure.

Just so the people in here who do NOT know me, don't make the mistake of taking me seriously at all times. That 4x26650 BATTS, WTIH A .2 ohm Rt atty, is BULL. A JOKE, a Arm twister.......... PLS> do not take me seriously, and try that. SO MUCH current available. I should NEVER have posted that even in joking, as at least ONE person it seems, Took me seriously. I NEED NO more death on my conscience.

Beautiful Mods. Wish I could do something like that. BUT, My age, and previous injuries many years ago, have shut down my ability to do small soldering. I Must now defer to the younger generation for assistance. Hard to admit. But, I've one SX350 back at Onedesign1's place, I MIGHT have bridged two traces on a board, and now, NO more lites. No smoke though. So I've officially stopped all small soldering. IF not ALL soldering.
Good luck on your mods, I don't think you'll need the luck though. Beautiful work. I STILL build some VERY high power RF amplifiers, for friends in SOuth America, as their Laws permit it, Our laws here, do NOT. 2KW Max. Input Power.

I thank you Vewdew. I see your in MA. I'm in Philly at this instant. My wife's mother is dying, and we're camping out at the Philly Oncology institute. I figure a few more days, and we'll be out of here, and, we're moving up to the Tribal Lands, that are NOW OURS, thanks to the SUpreme Court ruling giving us back our lands. After being Handed proof, and 54 original treaties, that the Colonials, then the U.S., broke every one of, most entered into in Bad Faith. They had no choice, but, to return all lands, and "Pay us for the murdered". Though, NOT with any thought of genocide of course. Anyway, we've our own country, and my wife and I will go back to it. We've upwards of 350,000 registered members now. 50% blood or greater req'd, for membership. A Nice sized self Defense force. I THINK it might be safer there, in times coming. Or, on the seas. I've a big boat. :) Call me Noah.

I'll speak with you later

Got 2 of the SX350's from onedesign1 yesterday as I met him in person to pick them up. Let me just say that onedesign1 is top notch in my opinion. Since I'm a trucker, he drove out to meet me at a Walmart parking lot to hand deliver my order. Doesn't get any better than that. He is and will be my supplier of these SX350's for my designs. And the juice I got as well is top notch!

I have a few questions on the wiring of the boards. I've notice there is only 1 white wire, I'm assuming it goes to the positive of the 510 connector and then would have to run a wire from negative side of battery to negative on 510 connector?is this correct? Also there is only 1 solder point not used so I assume that is for a up/down button but same scenario as 510, but can't add 2 buttons for up and down just 1.
