Let's face it, a big negative when choosing a rig was the Triton proprietary threads. This takes that concern away. Now Halons can use the other tanks and drippers out there.
But now I can use the Triton tank on my other bats. Cause nothing can make my beloved Malibu with Belgian Cocoa taste better than a Triton Tank.
And after using the 510 theads (which are just too small for most tanks, a holdover from the cigalike days) and the ego style (with the extreme recessed pin), I think the Triton threads are superior. Easy to clean the moat, and I have never had a connectivity issue with a Triton. Ever. That's why it doesn't need a floating pin. Cause the 2 parts are made correctly. Now the 510s out there? There should be standards to dimensions, but no one follows them. Their (the other manufacturer's) "fix" is an adjustable pin to compensate for lack of attention to details.
(rant over)
Randle, don't give the gang the day off in engineering and production just yet. We hope this is the first of many new things from Halo!
