All good news aside, PHE’s latest move speaks volumes to the vast differences between US and UK public health officials stances towards electronic cigarettes and vaping. In the UK, vaping is moving to the forefront as a method of smoking cessation, but in the US it’s a completely different story.

Reluctantly like the OP post. It is good news for the most part, but seems to neglect the history of why US can't go in direction of emphasizing cessation (from industry side). There are 2 sides to that issue that are both pro vaping, but are aiming very high in 2 vastly different directions. In sound bite rhetoric, I favor the US approach.

While industry is plausibly being set up to fail by the US approach, the regulator types are also being set up. They stand a very good chance of being co-creators of an underground market, where kids will surely partake. They bear that responsibility whether they wish to accept it or vehemently deny it. History will show they are responsible for it and writing right now is on the wall each and every time they over play the hand that is dealt to them.
