Looks grand, have you got a pic with the atty on it? I'm also curious why the usb cover, it seems then you have to unscrew the plate to charge it which means needing tooling to charge. I know from experience that portion collects dust and lint, so maybe a rubber/silicone plug like older cell phones had?

I think the metal plate adds character, makes it look more professional.
Do have a question what did you use to mill the wood, tools?
Gepetto-mods has something similar with wood battery holder called "THE U".
