SB 539 is getting its 2nd Reading in the Senate tomorrow, Thursday 2/5/15!!!

Start calling the switchboard (317-232-9400) and ask that your Senator be informed that you oppose SB 539 in its current form and ask that they support the bill going to a study session so that small businesses can have a part in this discussion. It only takes 5 minutes to #SaveTheVape!

Hopefully everyone knows that senator Yoder passed when asked to introduce his bill for second reading and it was reassigned to the tax & fiscal policy committee. There it got its second 1st reading and was passed out 11-0.

What may not be known to all is that the Hoosier Vapers club and some great shop owners are in negotiations with senator Yoder on SB 539 along with the house sponsor or HB 1432, which is the mirror bill in the house. The meetings to date have been productive and we are cautiously optimistic that the end result will be a bill that is acceptable for vapers and vape shop owners.

Please support these negotiations by being respectful to your senators and representatives while we are meeting. They have shown us goodwill because you made your voice heard, so hopefully we can show them the same goodwill now that they are willing to talk and amend these bills to work for everyone.

A huge Thank You to all the Vapers, and folks who support vapers, for calling, emailing, signing letters and petitions, and in all forms of making your opinion known. You have altered the predetermined course of these bills and made them to listen. Without all the support we would not be at the table, we would be on the menu. Thank you for showing the world what Hoosiers are capable of and how to get government to listen.
