What is the pg/vg ratio of the liquid you use?
When you say " tryed lower and higher temps " do you mean lower & higher watts / power levels?
If so how high didja go? crown 3 heads seem to take quite a bit of power to not blubber & spit, many say they take a few tankfuls to break in & work satisfactorily.
If you meant lower &higher temperature using TC are you using SS 316 mode?
Or entering a tcr value suitable for ss316?

.25Ω is sus316 watt/ss tc.
.5Ω is sus316 watt/ss tc.
.4Ω is kanthal watt mode only.

70 pg / 30vg or 30pg / 70 vg?
High % Vg should work better than high % Pg in the crown3.

Temp? do you mean 55 watts / 70 watts?

Are you taking long smooth medium strength inhales / MTL
Or, short hard fast strong inhales / DTL?
Trying to MTL a delivery device designed for DTL is going to create problems like you're having.

Are all the o rings /seals in place & undamaged?
Is the head tightly installed into the base?
Could be a stuck o ring from a previous head in the base.

Okay, watts.

What about the rest of the questions, without as much info as possible hard to give much help.
70Pg / 30Vg? or 30Pg / 70Vg?
70 % Pg is going to be too thin to work properly, the head will always be a flooded state.

MTL slow smooth or DTL hard fast inhale?

Also the crown3 has a less than stellar reputation, many folks struggled with them to the point of no longer using them, of course many also seem to get them to work well.

Okay, watts & 70% vg, o rings & seal in place & undamaged.

Is there an o ring from a previous head stuck in the base?
It is a frequent occurrence, the head to base seal is on the head, if there is an o ring in the base where the head threads in, it shouldn't be there.

MTL & DTL are two completely different methods of inhaling, and are two completely different types / styles / designs of delivery devices 'tanks'.

MTL is a steady smooth medium strength inhale / generally collect vapor in mouth then inhale.
DTL is a hard rapid inhale, really strong drag inhaling vapor deeply & directly into lungs.

Trying to MTL on a delivery device 'tank' that is designed for DTL will cause issues like you're having.
Wet sometimes sputtery vape that leaves a feeling & taste of liquid in your mouth / on tongue, with constant liquid accumulating in air tube & drip tip. Liquid accumulation gets worse with almost every vape, liquid runs or drips out of air tube / drip tip if inverted or shaken, liquid gets in mouth if air tube & drip tip aren't dried every few vapes.
The crown 3 is a DTL type/style/design delivery device, there really isn't much you can do to get satisfactory results when attempting to use it MTL.

The aspire nautilus or nautilus 2 would be examples of MTL delivery devices 'tanks'.

You can try drying the center/air tube & drip tip with a twisted piece of napkin or paper towel maybe a qtip occasionally. Even if that means every 3 vapes.
