Put a new .5 ohm coil in a couple days ago. At first the mod was reading it at .51 ohms which i understand is normal. However today it started this morning at .51 ohms and gradually the resistance level on the ohms reader went up without me unscrewing the tank or turning the mod off. Its now at .54 ohms and won't go down even though ive let it sit for well over an hour. Is this also normal? The last coil didn't do this

Cowtown, USA. Where the West begins.
Not a problem at all. Electrical resistance is not fixed like the stars in their courses. It can and does vary; with temperature and with the minor chemical changes made to the wire through oxidation and aging caused by repeated heating and cooling. Neither is it likely the ohmmeter in your mod is actually accurate to two decimal places on a repeated basis.
