I'm new to vaping and i'm buying a cheap clone off fast tech but Idk what to do with it after i get it. Like i know that i need a battery and juice but i'm having a problem with the tank and drip thingy. See i don't want to wrap my mod with wires and cotton as i find that annoying A/f and i don't have the time for it. Is there any other way to do this so you don't have to do that?

Could you post a link to the item you're buying from fast tech? It can be a deciding factor in what type of topper you should use.

That mod can use either an 18650, 18490, or 18350 IMR battery. Below are recommended IMR or hybrid batteries to use.

    AW IMR
    18650 2000mah
    18490 (1100mah)
    18350 (700mah)

    Panasonic or Orbtronic hybrid
    CGR18650CH (IMR/hybrid) 2250mAh
    NCR18650PD (LiNiCoAl) 2900mAh
    Orbtronic 18650 SX22 (hybrid) 2000mAh

    Samsung hybrid
    INR18650-22P 2200mAh
    INR18650-20R 2000mah

    Sony
    us18650v3 IMR 2250mAh

    EH IMR
    18650 2000 mAh
    18500 1100 mAh
    18350 800 mAh

    Efest IMR
    18650 (IMR/hybrid) 2250mAh 10A
    18650 2000mAh 10A
    18490 1100mah 8.8A
    18350 800mah 6.4A

I recommend geting a Vape Safe Mod Fuse.

You can find most of the above batteries either at RTD Vapor or Orbtronics.

You'll need a nice quality battery charger. I suggest a Nitecore Intellicharger i2.

For a novice vapor, I recommend a clearomizer as your juice attachment. An Innokin iClear 30 or Kanger Protank would be a good start.

The string you are seeing is the wick. They are prebuilt for both the I clear and protank. You just need to buy replacement coils for whichever one you get. They just screw in and out, pretty simple.

Since you're getting a mechanical mod, and don't want to rebuild, I'd suggest, whichever route you choose to go, get the low resistance option. I find that anything in the standard resistance range is too weak for me.

I was watching some videos on the Protank 2 and out of the box he puts it together and pours juice and starts vaping. i was wondering is it always going to be like that? like i wont have to buy parts for the tank? And if i do how do you know when it's time to change something and where to buy it? and how long would it last once i buy it?

You could consider to get a Kick as well... This is an electronic unit that turns a mechanical mod into a variable wattage device... Very useful if you plan to use a mech mod with pre-built standard resistance atomizers like a protank.

It also offers different types of battery protection.

Clearomizers are the simplist juice attachment available. That's why I recommended them to you. Pretty much as you saw, just add juice and vape.

Just be careful when purchasing clearomizers. Some are ego threaded and will only work on ego batteries. Some are 510 threaded, and will work on 510 threaded mods like mechanical and regulated mods. Both the iClear 30 and Protanks are 510 threaded. http://altsmoke.com/accessories/clearomizers/iclear-clearomizers.html

Most clearomizer tanks, or clearotanks (same thing), will have replaceable coil heads which are offered for sale alongside the tanks themselves. The tanks can be cleaned with the same coil heads for prolonged use. Eventually the coil heads will need to be replaced. Once their vapor production falls off or they just stop working, you'll know.

You'll be able to find You Tube videos on how to clean each tank available, and how to replace the heads. I've gone two months without needing to change the coil heads in my four iClear 30 clearomizers. YMMV as I've read of people needing to change their heads every couple of weeks.

Below is a typical "how to" video.

don't order anything from fast tech! it takes like a month or two to get your order in. my favorite website is 101vape.com, its fast and low priced.
