I would be happier if they came out this week on the podium and stated that. I want to hear the words-"Vapers have been disgustingly mistreated by the FDA and we want to do something about that". Let us hope the D doesn't take the Pence method, but at least that is better than FDA bull donkey, but not by much.

Well I B a monkey uncle. I looked up the GOP platform and it does say that. Page 38. Here is the excerpt:

Putting Patients First: Reforming the FDA
The United States has led life sciences and
medical innovation for decades, bringing millions
of high-paying jobs to our country and helping
Americans and people around the world live longer,
healthier lives. Unfortunately, the continuously
increasing burden of governmental regulation
and red tape is taking its toll on our innovative
companies, and their pipeline of new life-saving
devices and drugs to our nation’s patients is
slowing and diminishing. The FDA has slowly but
relentlessly changed into an agency that more and
more puts the public health at risk by delaying,
chilling, and killing the development of new devices,
drugs and biologics that can promote our lives
and our health. The FDA needs leadership that
can reform the agency for our century and fix the
lack of predictability, consistency, transparency
and efficiency at the agency.

Excellent! Cut the FDA back down to size. Government bureaucracies and the creatures that inhabit them are such a burden to the citizens of a free society. Like a cancer that lives and grows unchecked until it kills it's host.

Government bureaucracies
I prefer the following terminology...

"unconstitutional government agencies that bypass the system of checks and balances as intended by the forefathers of this country; put in place to protect the people from government run amok, as government is wont to do..."

But that's just me.

Think I'll write Paul Ryan a letter encouraging him to follow through on this issue. EMR's which house meaningfull use stats is so tedious and costly it should be modified or preferably banned. Medical staff spend hours collecting our health information to give to the government. What they do with it is a mystery. Just more personal information in jeopardy. IMHO. With vaping it's been already proven that it is safer than inhaling burning tobacco bonfires which are legal. We need someone with a " Doctorate in common sense"!
