Hi,
So there have been some posts about this but I have a question regarding the cause of this. So I have tinnitus since I was 16, back then it was ...., always heard it, drove me crazy. Got used to it after 6-12 months, was never a problem again until now (I'm 23 so 7 years later...). Started vaping 4 months ago and after 2-3 months the peep I had began to be significantly louder and I got another peep at a much higher frequency. The higher peep seems to go up and down randomly during the day, vaping not directly correlated to this.
Now many know PG maybe the factor since it may damage the inner ear and is ototoxic. However since you inhale it should not cause damage. I vape 70/30 VG/PG. I honestly love vaping and I hate to quite it because of this. Event though it is the smart thing to do but ok.
So I am having another symptom that began, ears popping. You know when you swallow and you hear a little pop. I have it constantly now after the tinnitus began to become worse.
So my theory is that the eustachian tubes connect your mouth to your ears, when you hold your nose and close your mouth and blow. Some air may go into you ears. Now because of the tight draw of vaping, could it be that some pg gets through this tube and may cause damage to the ear? And the popping sound could be caused by the vg stiffing up the tubes so the ears have a harder time to keep the pressure stable?
Anyone any idea or has some more insight on how these tubes work and if this is even possible? Because I am basing this on some research on the internet and my own logical thoughts so this could be complete BS.
Anyway thanks
