Why is it that mod manufacturers are so clueless about batteries!? Amp limits higher than any battery can handle, and 26650s for higher wattage than 18650s when the latter are better batteries...

Like KenD said selling mods that no battery can safely support is extremely irresponsible.
26650s offer better longevity but a lower CDR due to their increased internal resistance. You wouldn't run a single 18650 at 100 watts, so doubly not an 26650. The best of the bunch are rated at 23 amps, at 100 watts discharged the mod is pulling 35 amps. Those numbers don't add up to anything good for your battery or your face. There is one 30 amp CDR 26650 on the market (IJoy 26650) but even that would be being abused and voltage sagging like an overloaded washing line at 100 watts.
