I can understand where you are coming from and you want to be able to fix the prob yourself but on the flip side the VV mechanical box mods come with a 30-60 warranty where as the electronic VV ones come with a 1-2 year warranty. Many people like to have that piece of mind as they may not be as mechanically enclined as you.

I think you missed my point on ease of repair..... I am not very mechanically inclined... Often when I take something apart and put it back together I have an extra piece or 2 left over... I like the fact I can completely take apart my Megalodon with nothing more than a dime for a tool and it will still work... BTW I have already screwed that up sort of..... And I don't think warranties cover toilet baths....
