That lm2577 it`s a booster, lm2596/76 it`s a step down regulator,totally different and lm2577 it`s no good for a mod.Don`t waste your money on a crap

And lm2596 it`s good for stacked cell, grandpa of regulators

I went through all this thread today and couldn't find anything explaining how to included a voltage reader in this mod using the circuit board. I know I must be asking a really easy question here, but I am not to handy with electronics but due to the low cost of material I am willing to give it a try, but i really want to include the reader. Can someone help me with this please? much appreciate it.
BTW I got the original circuit board and the voltage reader for $9 both with free shipping.

One more question I have, Can I use an Altoids box with this? I am asking since it is a metal box, I don't know if that will in some way short out the board.
