Distorto's stunning coolibar and rosewood para, complete with a slightly oversized squonk hole. This is for proportion with the inline para configuration, and because he has king size mitts, this mod was certainly made for him! The second pic is immediately before the first half dozen coats of CA, looking forward to a pop shot tomorrow!

Such style! Excellent results out of that beautiful slab of coolibah Distorto/Vaughan
The rosewood is such a touch of grace against the chaotic figure of the coolibah.
Quite the highbrow mod.

The coolibah tree naturally produces little pools of fermented liquid around the root burl. Quite a special tree to the natives

So, I dropped off the list.

Usually, when I'm running, I feel like death is jogging right beside me.

i stopped running long distances because my knees were damaged by it, but not before i'd done it all. I'd do a half marathon in 90 minutes.

The conversation with my doctor went something like: 'you can have surgery on your knees, but you'll be crippled for about 3 months afterwards, or you can have them encased in plaster to limit your movement - or you can pack up long distance running'

i was 16 and i bought my Marlboro the next day. I tell everyone now - 'if you ever see me run, shoot the sh....er behind me'.

Been pretty slow on here lately, I have been wrestling with personal issues that are thankfully coming to a close. Time to get serious with the work again with the next few on the list! Pm's are being sent out.

Distorto's para is on it's way over the ocean so here's a few final pics...

The bridge is magnet free as the last ones have been, with a silicon tube (spares included) supplying downward pressure on the top of the batts, with large brass contacts carrying the current. Works very well and much cleaner than the magnetic bridge. Nice hard hitting para!
