The wife and I just went on a great mini-vacation from San Antonio, Tx to Kinder, La to visit an Indian casino. Before getting on the bus I pulled the driver to the side so I could show him my all black 510 and explain what it was. I even had a nifty little card from Drew w/ NHaler. The bus driver took one look at my PV and saw me exhale, didn't bother reading the card and said, "Ok - just don't use it on the bus." I stayed polite and asked, "Why not? This is.." but he cut me off and said "No smoking on the bus. I don't want to see that or read your card, ok?".
Well, I really wanted to go on this trip and the wife would have killed me for making a scene so I just sucked it up. It's his right to be ignorant and refuse to let me on the bus for starting an argument with him so I let it go. Wasn't happy but I managed and what he didn't know I was doing didn't hurt anyone.
Now at the casino I was also asked not to use it in the poker room. Can you believe they actually have a no smoking rule in the poker room?!! It was the only room I wanted to be in and it was the only room they had a no smoking rule. I stood away from the table and used my PV a couple times before the pit boss, very politely, told me I wasn't allowed to use electronic cigarettes in here either. He knew what it was and we actually got into a friendly conversation after I was done playing. He said they've discussed it recently but they don't want to hassle with the explaining it to other players that may get upset.
Anyway, that was my recent "not allowed" experience.
