Love Honda stuff, I have so much of Honda's equipment around this land I own and I have never had a single gripe. I wish I had a Honda vehicle but just couldn't swing the pick-up that I need around here. Keep up your good work.

Thank you for the kind words. We have a devoted and unrelenting strive for quality. But it's the other 4000+ employees that work in assembly that I respect. Those guys work very hard and you can see the pride on their faces when a vehicle rolls off the line.

I'd like to add my thanks to you for the "unrelenting strive for Honda quality" - my 10 yr old Honda runs like a champ and I love the Pearl Blue color just as much today as I did when I saw it glittering in the lights of the dealer's lot.
You good people build absolutely wonderful cars!

Thank you hurricanegirl, we just ran a dyno torture test on one of our 3.5 V6 engines. It ran at wide open throttle at red line (6300rpm) for 4 days 24 hours non-stop burning 20 gallons of fuel an hour for a total of almost 2000 gallons. When it was disassembled, the internal parts showed almost no wear at all. You could say your pearl blue paint job cost over 7 million dollars, that's the cost of the equipment that sprayed it. A lot of jobs are just a job, with the employees of Honda it's very , very different, we care greatly about our product and make double sure every single vehicle is built like it's going to park in our driveway.

There is motorcycle legend of the same thing nearly with the Honda CX500 v-twin.

The story was that the factory in Japan got a late start on the should be couple hour WFO test when it came time to go home for the day. So, they rigged up a fuel supply for it, left it running WFO and went home. It was still blasting away when they got back to work the next morning.

There were a few years in the late 80's when many of their larger bikes had hydraulic (self adjusting) valves. The bikes were Too Good, the dealerships couldn't make any money maintaining them. All they needed were
oil changes, chains maybe and tires.

Medically retired toolmaker. My last gig was designing and building special machines, gages and fixtures used in the manufacturing of medical equipment. Prior to that, it was designing and building automated lines used to build engines for Dynamax The last slip and fall incident rung my bell a bit too hard, and caused me to permanently lose my sense of balance.

    I'm a La-Z-Boy Operator now...
