What is the coil build that comes with the SubTank Mini?

I loved it on my mech mod, it was perfect for flavor. I dont remember what the gauge and how many wraps the spaced coil was. Anyone know?

I don't believe it was kanthal. It's nichrome 80, 2.5mm id and 5 standard spaced wraps. Comes out to .48 ohms.

I think @yuseffuhler got it right for the shipping rba build.

My own builds are currently with Kanthal (@GutWrench's suggestion) and 2.4mm ID and at 0.6 ohms it's close enough to the original while giving a little resistance cushion on mods not firing below 0.5 ohms.

Not sure if it is Kanthl etc, but it measured as 27 gauge based on my calipers

5 Standard Wraps of 26 AWG, Nichrome with a 2.5 ID. Comes out to .48 Ohms, reads .5 for my Subox.

It's actually 25 kanthal. And i know this through trail and error where i ended up with several 50 metre rolls of various different wire.

5 wraps of 25awg with an inner diameter of 2.5mm.

Also 25 gauge looks like an awesome medium between 24(too thick in some cases for RTAs and wicking capabilities) and 26(decent but need to stick to lower wattage to avoid having ultra heating on isolated area causing scorching of wicks).

Any idea where I could find some decent 25 gauge USA made Kanthal or the like? I'm having trouble outside of Amazon and eBay (counterfeit galore for that and batteries).

Unsure about the stock RBA coil....But I just did a twisted 28ga @ 5 wraps on a 2.4mm rod. Checks in at .5-.6 ohm....keeps bouncing back and forth.

I think you can buy a pack of Kanger supplied OEM RBA coils, why not go that route?

Sounds like a good idea, would like to replicate it with the .... ton of wire I have in other atomizers.
