Where to get flat copper sheets

So I've been making box mods but I want to try my hand at a true mech box mod. I'm needing flat sheet copper and I've called Lowes, Home Depot, Hobby Lobby and some other craft stores in the area. No luck on any of them. I've even called some electrical supply stores with no luck also. The guys on the moonshiner show get sheets of copper to make stills but I can't find a piece 1' square. Hopefully somebody out there can point me in the right direction.

Home Depot has supplies, you just have to be creative

To make a copper bus bar, these work after flattening

1/2 in. Copper Tube Straps (5-Pack) C624HD12 at The Home Depot - Mobile

For a 1" square, cut a short piece of copper pipe, split it, open it and pound flat with a hammer.


Don't forget why we call them mods.

I would contact local roofing companies, as up here in Michigan they use it for flashing in some applications. The specialty higher end places may be your best bet. Good luck with your project!
