Which stereotypes fit you and which do not?

Well... To Start, Im a Flight Attendant. Need I say more? :) I talk WAY too much, had a long strenous run with prescription narcotics, I own about 13 pairs of Diesel and True Religion jeans..... Hmmmm and im left handed! Im also finding a HUGE number of gay men are overtly interested in Commercial aviation, as am I.

On the flip side, (No pun intended) I finished my second year of medical school not long ago (taking a break) and am looking at going into Anesthesiology- a predominantly straight male field. I love sports of all kinds, and have more straight male friends in my social group than gay men or women.

Another trait I have been seeing recently is large numbers of homosexuals in one family... Myself for example. My mother, 5 cousins, and 2 Aunts are gay. There are more that can be traced back to a great great uncle that was a crossdresser with a travelling circus back in the late 1890's!

I have YET to meet any gay people in the medical field. Where is everybody else? I'm not in the medical field although I almost went into it.

Anyway, you look so dashing in your flight attendant uniform and the e-cig :) Don't worry I'm not hitting on you since I'm 100% .... :p

Uniform always looks dashing (IMO) unless it's like oh, i dunno, a chemical clean-up uniform, but I guess that's more hazmat protection than uniform. Uniforms are sexy as far as I am concerned. Some more than others.

So here's a story, a long while ago I was (not quite legally) in the States and considering (not quite legally) marrying a gay porn performer to stay there (not quite legally). While I was there I worked (not quite legally) for two lovely gay guys who were both in the medical field. One did anaesthetics and one did gynaecology (ha!). Anyhow, there's no point to this post apart from the gay/medic angle. Oh and one time a very cute nurse stuck a needle in my batty.

This thread seems as good as any to introduce myself.

I am a call center employee which jusging from every call center job i have had is a pretty stereotypical gay trait. unless im drunk or in bed........or checking out the prons.....thats where the stereotypes end with me. I work on cars i am not a youth obsessed sycophant. i have a dog and i am definately not a cat person......i tinker  um i am not a flag waiving goofball. i have never worn womens clothing except last haloween i wore flanel and dressed as a ....... um i should share drew barrymore is one of VERY few women i would want to have "relations" with. nico your avatar is awesome...................though i do have to say if i had to make a choice between drew barrymore and jeffery dean morgan its not even a contest.

he can do anything to me................ANYTHING!

if this comment is a bit over the top i apologize i like to test the waters as the newbie helps me understand where the toeline is

if this doesnt describe me well enough i have pics in my profile.

Welcome aboard, deeptrout. ***wonders what that name could be about***. Moderation tends to be a bit relaxed at ECF and even more so in the Gay Group. So far, no one has gotten too out of hand with their posts, so I haven't had to moderate much. Innuendo is fair game - it is the gay group after all.

*Sigh* Real life is always so bland compared to my imagination. That's ok though, you seem rowdy enough without the colorful story.;)

i have to say i'm fairly confused as to why censorship on a forum for adults to discuss e-cigarettes is necessary. if an adult wants to toss around an expletive every now and again then more power to them its one of the benefits of being older than 12. i can understand moderators keeping spammers and greifers in check but something as silly as saying the "F word" (i cant express how juvenile typing that made me feel)

this makes me feel less happy about this board. :(

I cuss like a sailor outside of my posts. But alas, it is a forum rule that we all accepted when we decided to post. And our job as moderators is to enforce them whether we wholeheartedly agree or not.

I'm not going to quote pertinent rules here... but here's a link to the whole list of them in case anyone missed them:

Lol. Glad to visit. I believe I've told you before that I have a lot of gay and lesbian friends, and that my brother is gay. I'm not ready to 'join' yet, but I'd be in fantastic company if I did. :)

Aloha Fellow Gaypers,

Here I recently join the group, ready to have a little fun spilling guts and answering the interesting questions, and now there is nothing but deafening silence around here... or just the crickets chirping as Rexa noted...

Is one F word gonna spoil the whole gay pot??? Hey, I am all for the free-est of speech and personal rights, especially in these fairly oppressive times, but if the Forum rules won't be slackened enough, can't we just use the old ****'s to get our meaning across? Like f**k, or s**t, etc?

Would hate lose the group over semantics...

Just a thought...

I was expecting the F bomb to be moderated and I would've been surprised if it weren't (I curse like a sailor too but I'm aware of the rules) but I just don't think the extra mod commentary needed to happen to scare everyone off. If people have issues or cause issues they could be notified in pm's if further clarification is needed. I read the edited expletive post and I saw the reason for the edit already which was sufficient enough.
