Well snork...I, personally, in this era of "identity theft"...don't feel comfortable giving out my SSN last 4, picture of my driver's license, etc.
(NO "G-Men heads-up"...all the listed sites are using completely legal Age Verification Procedures...)
I just prefer to deal with non-invasive sites...

I run across ABC site on the "Deals and Steals" thread (who I've never dealt with before)...
I go to "The List"...and find ABC uses Bluecheck--which requires SSN and "they store info on their server and share with subsidiaries, affiliates, contractors, service providers and other third parties".
So...I move on...
But...say I go to "The List"...and find ABC uses Veratad--which "searches public files for age verification" and does not store any personal information.
Then...I'll go to the site and consider a purchase...

I don't remember for sure but I was thinking that it asked when you went through the checkout process. I signed up but it took quite a while before I started getting emails.
