For me, vaper's tongue is something that doesn't go away unless I stop vaping for a long period of time. After about two weeks of vaping, I can't taste any flavor save for the ones that will crack plastic tanks, so I exclusively vape a mixture of cinnamon and menthol flavors. It's very unusual because while I can't taste any of those other flavors in vapor form, if I eat or drink the actual product those flavors originate from, I can taste them just fine.

Oh I think smoker's tongue is a "thing." When I have quit smoking for a few weeks or months and then had that first cigarette, it is an entirely different animal taste wise than the rest of the pack. Just you don't realize it I think as a smoker like you do with juice, where you are expecting some specific taste (vanilla, coffee, fruit, etc.).
