I learned my technique from hours wasted you tube, this site, and screwing it up about a thousand times. I then had to take a more logical approach. Like what was said above, it does take practice.
I made a new wick and two new coils today. I didn't oxidize the wick so much and it was more of a dark grey when I finished oxidizing. The first coil didn't work out, but the second coil doesn't glow at all when firing with juice, not even if I go to cutoff. The 5 wrap coil still only measures 1.8ohms on the Provari, it had measure 2.0ohms with multimeter (estimated due to 0.3ohm resistance in the multimeter wires). It works really well though and there is more flavor from the juice!
