Wismec Reuleaux 2/3: having a hard time fitting the two battery cover

Hello,

Just received my Wismec reuleaux 2/3 today.

I really dig the RX 2/3 in two battery format, really ergonomic and lighter than the cuboid with the same two batteries while on-the-go.

However fitting the two battery cover (instead of the 3 battery cover) is turning out to be a nightmare; while the cover is properly placed and fits seamlessly, I cannot make the bottom latches to "click".

I have managed to make it "latch" properly just once in about 30 times I've tried.

Any tips or tricks??

I don't have any issues with mine. There's not really a click when u put it on but it definitely latches and stays on just fine.

Mine doesn't latch nor stays.

I managed to make it stay latched for 2 times in about 60 tries... I think this is related to tolerances, maybe once the cover is "worked out" by use it will become easier?

I don't have one but I could make quick guesses.
What batteries are you using as some wraps are thicker.
Does the door latch with no batteries installed? If not could be a faulty latch.

I have VTC4's and Panasonic NCR18650B; At first I only was able to latch with the VTC4, but today (3d cover change) I was able to latch it to click with the Panasonics.

I measured and the diference in OD between them was 0.10mm.

Definitely looks like tolerances are rather tight and the cover needs some use to get to "shape"

Mine has trouble making a connection with 3 batteries. I just fiddle with the batteries (spin them) until it connects then it is fine until the next time I swap batteries.

Love this mod, but this is a bit annoying.

After the 4th or 5th cover swap it now clicks inmediatly.

My 2 battery cover was very stiff, and had a good size gap at the top. after a few changes it fits better. the 3 cover worked fine. I think I prefer the battery life with the 3 batteries even at the the cost of being larger.
