This one arrived today and I posted pictures in the other thread.

Oh, and I'm still alive. Wifey returned on Wednesday and she had a much, much larger sum of money with her than she had when she left. She had a very profitable trip to the casino. Of course she was still a little upset about all the new Woodvils until I told her to just keep all the money for herself. I think she thought I was going to ask her for money to pay for them. I might be a fool, but I'm not an idiot.:lol::lol:
^^^^^^^  Good thinking.....you're fast on your feet. Ha

There are actually a couple of poly purple hearts this run, just can't remember the numbers right off the top of my head.

I guess I should have worded that differently, all the ones that caught my eye, were a oil finish. I went back and looked again, and found a few that were made, nice and shiny purple. :)

Kas, you could ask Rob if he could poly coat it if you want to go in that direction. I'm think he would for a small fee.

That's alright, I don't really want to change this one. I just had not seen the poly ones is all and I missed them. I don't want to become a Hoople quite yet, I should at least give it a few months. :)

I am just wondering, if there were ever purple heart woodvil's made with a poly finish? All of them on this run were a oil finish, after having one for a while, it just looks like it would look very nice with a poly coat. Is it because of the possible change of color over time?

Thanks
KAS
I got a purple heart from this run and it has a poly finish! I love it! Feels great in the hand, and looks awesome too! I can't speak yet to the color change though, since I've only had it a week! :D

The poly look very nice. But I just like the feel of wood in my hand. Besides I don't mind oiling/waxing the wood. I actually like doing it. I know, I'm weird. I just love the look of wood, the different colors, and grain, it just does it for me. A freshly oiled wood is a beautiful thing, not much like it, as far as I'm concerned. I wish I had hardwood floors, and nice wood walls, and wall to wall bookshelves...lol.
