Haha,yeah i feel the same way.Every year my wife puts it up the day after Thanksgiving,by the time Christmas gets here,i'm tired of looking at it everyday haha.

we put ours up a day or 2 before Christmas, and take it down around the
end of January.

That's one thing i've always wanted to try,but the ice never gets thick enough around here.Closest place i know of that does is lake Erie,and that's about 150 miles from me.Still may go there one year though.

It's considerd bad form to put up any Christmas decorations here in Clogland before Sinterklaas is over (though that doesn't stop many).

Our Christmas tree goes up 12 days before Christmas and comes down on Twelfth Night.

I don't knpw of anyone around here that does that,i'm sure there probably is though,but there are a few people in my area that leave their lights hanging on the outside of the house year round,and light them up for every holiday.Sort of looks funny seeing Christmas lights on Halloween though haha.
