In this new series of How-To's, we'll be covering how the new Media Gallery works and how you can use these images within your posts on ECF.

First, select Media from the Member's drop down menu at the top of the page.

You'll then be presented with a screen that looks similar to this:

From here, you can view other media galleries from users, or you can create/add to/edit your own.

To create a new gallery, you'll go to the top right of the screen and select Add Media. If you've never created an album yet, you'll get the following options:

When you go to choose an album, you'll be presented with an option to create an album.

    You'll then see:

Create your album title and set your album permissions (no, you can't block staff from viewing so don't even THINK about uploading those NSFW images).

    You'll now see these options:

Notice the quotas. This may or may not change.

Select Add Media to upload your video or image.

The image/video will upload and you'll be given an opportunity to edit the title and description.

Select Save Media and you've just created an album!

Click on the image and you'll be taken to the full sized image.

    Media Tools

The Media Gallery gives you some pretty great tools to modify your images.

First up, the actual Media Tools drop down.

This gives you your crop tool, people tagging, and your rotation/flip tools.

We also have some tools right above that drop down menu.

[IMG] - Edit the title and description

[IMG] - Allows you to move the media to another album

    [IMG] - Delete

    [IMG] - Download the media

[IMG] - View the media on a full page

[IMG] - View the media in a lightbox

    Sharing links to your images/albums

The media gallery provides you with preformated links to share your images. This allows you to share the entire album, select images in the album as well as pages within your album.

(Sorry, links have to be hidden as we're still using the test bed.)
