Zamplebox - Customs Charge?

Anybody received their 'zamplebox' in the recent past?

It's taken a bit longer to arrive that it has done in the past, then this morning in the post I received a card saying there is a customs charge to pay, £13.72. I've never had to pay a customs charge for zamplebox, any ideas why now?

Have to say as well, ZB's customer service has gone down hill massively. 2 emails sent 48+ hours ago, still no reply.

1. Any parcel assessed as being liable for Customs charges will also incur a Royal Mail handling fee of £8. Any goods imported into the UK over the value of £15 are liable to import VAT. Gifts between private individuals over the value of £36 are also liable for VAT.

I used them in the past, never had a problem. I did mention in their forums that their packaging was making it pretty obvious what was in the packages and that this could cost people money in the UK, I'm guessing that they never changed to plain packaging for exports.

They were great to begin with but like most companies; prices went up, juice variety went down and so on.

Importing is always a risk and you should weigh up the pros and cons before ordering from abroad to determine whether or not it's worth it.
