FWIW: The polarity of the battery connections (+ and -), whether in the center or outside, makes absolutely no difference. The atomizer coil is not polarity sensitive.

I've tried it all and finally settled on plain, white coffee filters, the cheap kind. Cut off a piece ~5" long and ~2" wide, roll it around a toothpick, put it in the cart. and cut it off even with the top. (It'll pack down when wet). They hold a lot of juice, don't burn and last for weeks...

A lot of confusion prevails about power supplies or batteries when it comes to our mods. It's really all about voltage drop between the power source and the atomizer. Two power sources which provide the same voltage may not have the same "source capacity", ie. a 12 volt lawnmower battery...
