I am an ex-smoker. I smoked for thirteen years. I started using an e-cig when getting the stuff for them was like hunting a mythical creature and when using them in public made everyone ask about it like it was magic.

I used a tank and battery system for a long time and a cig-alike before that. I have moved on to mods several years ago. My favorite at the time of this writing is my Z-50, it just rocks.

My hope is that the market will continue to flow free for people who want to vape. I have experience as a hobbyist with small electronics and have worked with several e-cigs but I am not an expert.

Safety is my number one thing. Cigarettes were killing me, I could tell, I was going to be that guy that barley gets to see his kid make it throw high school. It is gross but I was choking and gagging in the mornings and one day I basically threw up from my lungs. I knew I would die from my habit one day. The sick thing was I still did not want to quit. I've given up a few vices in life and I was just not ready.

My wife discovered e cigarettes. I tried them, that was it for me. I struggled with ordering enough supplies and keeping up my equipment. I learned how to take apart things that at that time were never meant to be taken apart. One step at a time, sometimes one moment at a time I fought with that old gear. I kept a first gen blu atomizer running for two months once using a vibro cleaner I made.

This era of equipment is like a golden age, every flavor under the sun, batteries with declared values that work, regulated mods that will run sub-ohm rigs. Appreciate it for what it is, fight to keep it, vote to keep it. and keep on vaping.

electronics, computers, e-cig modding, brewing, and tinkering

Currently vaping a Z-50 with an Aqua V2 tobeco clone. Loving it but looking for one more tank. My avatar is used with permission of the original artist.
