two attys parallel will run power being fed from the 18650's wired in series , just keep the atty's well fed and let them cool if needed
why the need to use such large batts
you will get 4 hrs of quite heavy vaping from 2 x 3.0cr123's on dual atts
i dont know if this may relate to the op's problem but it helped out someone else
as tenergy batts seem to be the choice for people in the us i will post this link here and then past an important paragraph from the site relating to the way these wonderful hitech batteries regulate thier power...

the quad box was built for someone else on request for flavour research, i tested it but never actually used it for personal vaping to any degree , its a wee bit too much me thinks as i already have enough of a vaping addiction now
the atomisers are spaced to allow the fitting of "y" connectors...
umm ok , if this is considered spam by any one i will delete.
for me it all started with this dual 901 6v i did in dec 08 ,since then i havnt really been able to use a standard ecig anything to get a good hit.
the quad box in the second photo does have "y" connectors for it , just not shown in...
